Sasha Apel - Director

Sasha Apel began his career working within the television industry for the Nine Network on a unique Cadetship in Production Management. After working in the television and broadcast industry for over fifteen years, he became a well respected contributor to the industry. It had become very clear to Sasha that the future was in home technology and providing a service for integrating various forms of technology and simplifying it for the home user. As a Director of Connected Living and the Business Development manager Sasha ensures that he is at the forefront of technology and design. He has a passion for architectural design and has a wealth of experience in working with some of Australia's leading architects, developers and interior designers.

Neil Laycock - QLD Director
|
Neil Laycock also originating from a broadcasting background specialises in system design, planning and implementation. He has an Associate Diploma in Electronics Engineering and Communications systems. He is also a qualified Audio Engineer. Neil has been responsible over the years for pulling together the teams and the expertise needed to ensure projects are delivered on budget and on time. With a passion for Architecture and design companioned with a "Near Enough is Not Good Enough" kudos, Neil is an Integral member of the Connected Living team.

John Hancock - Director
|
John Hancock brings years of experience in television broadcast operations and planning to the Connected Living team. As a director John's responsibilities include the technical planning, implementation and integration of Connected Livings projects as well as customer relations and business development.
Prior to co-founding Connected Living with Mr. Sasha Apel, John was involved in broadcast television production with the Seven Network in the role of Head of Audio and Technical Operations Manager for Seven Resources Melbourne. John was the Network Audio Supervisor for the Sydney Olympic Games as well as the Nagano and Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games. John was most recently the Audio Supervisor for the 2009 AFL Grand Final and continues to consult to all networks on 5.1 and other audio related matters.

Greg Batten - QLD Director

Greg Batten, brings a wealth of large scale IT, broadcast audio & video, and project coordination experience to Connected Living company.
Prior to Greg joining the Connected Living team, he completed a bachelor in IT and went on to spend 6 years as an IT/AV technician and project coordinator for a broadcast and post production company. He was involved in a number of live broadcasts and reality television productions around Australia. Greg's major responsibilities included technical managing, design and installation of production environments, software packages, graphical systems, and responsibility for cutting-edge content management and tapeless workflow systems.
